Printer Sharers
IPS Intelligent Printer Switch
Installing an Intelligent Printer Switch will simplify your local printer sharing and ensure that you get the maximum printing performance from your system. The IPS is fully automatic and requires no software to operate. This removes the hassle associated with manual switching or cable swapping giving users the illusion that they are connected to their own dedicated printer.
Standard cables can be used throughout which often enables existing cables to be utilised. Extended cable lengths are also supported to minimise the need for cable boosters. Using quality cable, lengths of 10 metres (30 feet) from PCs and 100 metres (300 feet) to printers can be used.
The Intelligent Printer Switch offers the ideal solution for no-hassle unidirectional printer sharing.

SmartShare
SmartShare is a new generation of high performance peripheral sharer that supports bi-directional (BDI) interface ports. It enables you to access the latest bi-directional features available on modern printers and to automatically share other parallel devices such as tape drives, CD-ROMs, SCSI convertors and EPROM programmers.
A number of models are available in the SmartShare range allowing up to 6 PCs to share either of 2 peripherals. On dual output models, peripheral selection can be made from software or front panel control key

IPS Plus Paralell Buffered
The Intelligent Printer Switch Plus family offers high performance local printer sharing in an easy to use package. Internal buffer reduces waiting time and makes the most efficient use of shared printers by allowing multiple users to print simultaneously without having to wait for the printer.
Flexible port configuration means that the IPS Plus can be used to share one or two printers. It is compatible with Windows and offers fast printing speeds of up to 55,000 characters per second. Two models are available with a choice of either 6 or 8 ports with buffer options of 256k, 1Mb, 2Mb or 4Mb.

RS232 Serial Switch
The SS10 is a flexible and simple to use RS232 data switch. The RS232 serial ports are bi-directional and can be connected to PCs, printers, plotters, modems and EPOS peripherals. SS10 is also specified for use in many specialist industrial applications. All connected devices can communicate simultaneously and internal memory options (up to 4Mb) support applications that require buffering. Three models are available with a choice of 4, 8 or 12 ports.
